You can find us at Stand 884, where our team will be available throughout the show to speak with landowners, farmers and businesses about the benefit of Repowering your existing wind turbine. There will be Welsh speakers on our stand every day, so you are more than welcome to come and speak to us in English or Welsh!

(Photo of BestWatt BW80 from Gwynfryn Farm, Pwllheli, North Wales)

We have expertise in Wales (and beyond!), with a flagship project at The Royal Mint, where Infinite Renewables has been instrumental in developing their sustainable energy system, as well as having just taken over a large wind turbine in Pencarreg.

Repowering can be a highly effective way to improve the performance of an existing turbine, or bring a broken wind turbine back into operation, helping to increase farm income, reduce energy costs and make better use of existing renewable energy infrastructure. In some cases, repowering an existing wind turbine can increase income by tens of thousands a year.

We will also be joined by Rengineers, the manufacturers of the BestWatt turbines, giving visitors the opportunity to learn more about their range of turbines, as well as the 20-year service and maintenance guarantee available.

As the exclusive distributor of BestWatt turbines in Wales, Cornwall, and South West England, Infinite Renewables is looking forward to meeting visitors at the show and discussing how repowering your turbine could support your farm, estate or business across the region. Whether you already own a wind turbine, are considering an upgrade, or simply want to find out more about renewable energy options, come visit us at Stand 884 at the Royal Welsh Show.

We can also advise on the most affective wat for your farm or business to reduce energy costs and incorporate renewable energy into your farm or business.

We are also pleased to see that the Development Bank of Wales has just launched a new funding scheme which will enable Welsh farming businesses to access affordable, long-term finance to invest in sustainable energy projects through a new £5 million pilot scheme which has just been launched on 1 July 2026.

Welsh farms to access low-interest loans for sustainable investment | Business Wales

The Sustainable Agriculture Loan Scheme (SALS) will offer fixed-rate loans at 3% interest, repayable over up to 15 years. Eligible farm businesses in Wales can borrow between £25,001 and £1 million to fund improvements in energy efficiency and renewable energy generation.

Liz and Nick Down have a range of self-catering cottages on a small dairy farm near Truro in Cornwall. They installed an Endurance 3120 55kW wind turbine back in November 2012 to take advantage of the generous Feed in Tariff and to provide a green energy supply to their farm and holiday cottage business.

After a lightening strike, years of breakdown and spiralling maintenance costs with their existing machine they decided to look at alternative turbines. The BestWatt range of turbines manufactured in the Netherlands were identified as a suitable replacement for the Endurance turbine. After meeting Rengineers (the owners of BestWatt) they decided to install the BestWatt BW80 turbine on their existing 24.5m tower.

Liz and Nick said – ‘The BestWatt 80kW turbine was installed on 28/29th Jan 2026 and was completed within two days. The Engineers from BestWatt could not have been more helpful. We have been delighted with the whole process, and the turbine has been operating without any issues since it was commissioned. The generation figures have been impressive with over 26,000kwh produced to date’. We would not hesitate in recommending the BestWatt range of turbines for other repowering projects. The 20-year service contract gives us the peace of mind that the turbine will provide high availability with certainty of future maintenance costs. If something does go wrong the Engineers are ore on hand to deal with it without delay.

Infinite Renewables are the authorised distributors for BestWatt turbines for Wales and the Southwest. Director Iestyn Morgan said – ‘the installation of the BestWatt BW80 provides an extremely cost-effective solution for the repowering of older wind turbines. The payback on investment is typically 2-4 years, well within the remaining FiT period on most sites’.

Gerhard de Pater, sales manager at Rengineers said – ‘we have repowered around 80 old turbines and we are working closely with our partners Infinite Renewables to repower many more site in Wales and the Southwest. In addition to repowering the Endurance turbines we also offer repowering solutions for the C&F, Bergey Harbon, Orenda, Argosie, AOC and Evance range of turbines as well as many other makes. In most cases we can use the existing foundation and the tower in some instances which helps reduce the overall cost of repowering. With our 20-year insurance backed maintenance service contract (Garant) we are confident that our clients will have trouble free generation from the BestWatt range of wind turbines. As a family run business for almost 30 years, we pride ourselves in providing a high-quality service to all of our customers.’

Hosted by dairy farmers Liz and Nick, the open day gave attendees the opportunity to see a recently repowered turbine in action and learn more about the benefits of upgrading existing wind turbines.

Liz and Nick originally installed a 55kW Endurance wind turbine in 2012 to support their farm and holiday cottages However, after facing ongoing reliability issues and rising maintenance costs, they chose to repower their wind turbine with a BestWatt 80kW turbine, installed on their existing tower in January 2026.

The new turbine was installed in just one day and has since generated more than 30,000 kWh with no issues. For Liz and Nick, the upgrade has provided improved reliability, stronger performance and peace of mind through the 20-year service agreement.

Throughout the day, guests had the chance to hear from Liz and Nick about their experience, speak with the Infinite Renewables team, and meet Rengineers,
the manufacturers of BestWatt turbines, to learn more about their turbine range and long-term service support. They were also treated to a Cornish Pasty,
some Cakes, and drinks on us, provided by The Cornish Barista!

The open day demonstrated the significant opportunities available through turbine repowering, particularly to farms and rural businesses with ageing or non-operational wind turbines. By upgrading existing infrastructure, landowners can improve performance, reduce energy costs and make better use of renewable energy already in place.

A massive thank you to Liz and Nick for kindly hosting the event, to Rengineers for their support, and to everyone who joined us at Little Callestock Farm.

Since they already master the wind on waves, it only made sense to harness that same power to run their event on land. We’ve built and supplied a custom, containerised portable wind turbine specifically for this event. Not only is this a feat of engineering, but it’s also the first-ever wind turbine on the island of Bermuda.

The containerised turbine is our MC15, a unique 15kW wind turbine that is stored, transported and operated in its own 40ft shipping container. When deployed on site, the container forms an integral part of the turbine base.

In the heart of Bridgend, Wales, Infinite Renewables is quietly redefining how renewable energy is created, experienced and shared. Founded in 2010, the company began life as a specialist wind turbine developer, creating merchant wind power schemes for commercial clients. From the outset, Infinite set out not simply to generate energy, but to rethink how power could be delivered locally, efficiently and responsibly.

Their early business model was both practical and forward looking. Infinite entered into Power Purchase Agreements, supplying locally generated wind power directly to businesses through private wire connections. This approach reduced reliance on the national grid while giving customers long term price certainty and a tangible connection to the energy they were using. With investment support from Albion Capital, Infinite achieved its ambition to co own and operate a growing portfolio of turbine developments, laying strong foundations for future growth.

As electric vehicles become a fixture on UK roads, charging infrastructure remains a major concern for drivers. Now, a new solution is emerging: wind-powered EV charging. Pioneered in Wales, this green technology promises faster, cleaner and more affordable charging – offering hope for a smoother, more sustainable EV journey. Maxine Ashford reports:

So, it comes as welcome news to Good Motoring that new approaches to the charging process are being explored – and that includes using power naturally generated by wind turbines. One of the first forecourts to offer this technology in the UK is based in Wales and has recently been opened by Infinite Renewables, a Welsh-based company that specialises in the design, development and management of renewable energy schemes.
