]]> In 2022, Infinite were commissioned to assist the Isle of Sark in their goal of building an updated, island-owned electricity system. As Sark is a small island with no cars or lorries, the project presents unique challenges. Infinite has embraced these challenges and is excited to develop renewable energy for the island.

The proposed Energy Centre includes 2 x 225kW wind turbines, a 510kWp solar farm, 750 kWa batteries and 3 x 350kVa diesel generators and a micro-grid controller which will prioritise the use of renewables. The renewable energy centre will replace the current system to help transition Sark to greener power with an estimated 80% of the island’s power coming from renewable sources. The system will be adaptable to the future needs of the island while providing a low carbon and reliable energy supply.

The design phase was completed following a presentation of the scheme to islanders in March 2025.

Construction will start once funding is secured by Sark’s government.
