Infinite Renewables, in partnership with Rhondda Cynon Taff Council, is offering grants to community groups and charitable causes within a 5km radius of its Local Energy Centre at Nant Y Gwyddon in Pentre, Gelli.
Six Local Energy Centres (LEC) have been developed and managed by Infinite and were funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh government and Infinite’s funding partner, Albion Community Power.
A grant of £500 per applicant is available to qualifying projects and organisations comprising two bidding rounds annually – one in March and one in October.
This Fund is designed to incentivise local areas to invest in renewable energy and energy efficiency measures to become sustainable communities in the future.
